The District Nursing Service provides skilled nursing care and support to adults in their own homes either because they are housebound or because there is a clinical need for that care to be delivered at home.
We aim to promote independence and self-management wherever possible, working in partnership with other health and social care providers. Treatment is discussed and planned with each individual and when treatment is complete they are discharged from the service.
The District Nursing Service operates between 8am and 6.30pm every day of the year delivering mainly visits that have been planned in advance. We are not an emergency service and do not replace the medical services.
The small team based at Deddington is led by Helen McClure DN. If you think you might be eligible for District Nursing you can contact us on 01869 338855 and leave a message on the answer phone. We will return your call and discuss your needs; if you do not meet the criteria for this service we will endeavour to suggest an alternative contact if needed.
